Don Crowlery

Don Cowley, born in 1926, in Redlands, California, Crowley's realist oil paintings of the Southwestern "people and events as I find them today". He illustrated for "Reader's Digest" and children's books, but tired of commercial art and moved he and his family West in the late 1960s and finally to Tucson, Arizona. In 1994, he was elected to membership in the Cowboy Artists of America, and in 1998 was named Artist of the Year by Friends of Western Art.
